Meet Loren

My story

Featured as one of She the People’s 25 young women of color to watch and Teen Vogue for her diligent work mobilizing the youth vote in the 2020 Presidential Election and 2021 Georgia Runoff Election, I have a keen interest in uplifting youth and other excluded communities.

  • As a college student, I served as the IGNITE Atlanta Fellow where I organized and empowered hundreds of young women and provided mentorship opportunities with elected officials and community leaders. I decided to enter the legislative process and assist Georgia State Representative Regina Lewis-Ward as her Legislative Aide and then Chief of Staff. Among many responsibilities, I had the honor of working closely on policy issues that impacted our constituents.

I currently proudly serve as the IGNITE Southeast Program Manager, where I coach fellows in eight different sites across the region and facilitate trainings centered around GenZ women political participation.

I hold a B.A. in Political Science from Agnes Scott College.

Building our future

My Mission

My mission is to increase access to the civic and political process by centering populations with an emphasis on the LGBTQIA+, POC and youth populations.

My Vision

My vision is a peaceful and community-centered democratic system that truly serves and protects everyone no matter their identity.

  • “Loren makes sure everyone she interacts with leaves better than before they met. Her ability to connect with people is something I have never seen before. As a team member and leader Loren earns my highest recommendation.”

    Kaya Jones, IGNITE colleague

  • "With her exceptional communication, relationship-building skills and strategic thinking, Loren has successfully built partnerships, developed programs, and created resources that have benefited countless individuals across the United States. Loren's dedication to diversity and inclusion, coupled with her unwavering commitment to social justice, is truly admirable. She is a true role model for aspiring leaders and a driving force for positive change in our society."

    Kirsten, former colleague and friend

  • "Loren is like a burst of sunlight and lights up any room she walks into. She exemplifies what is means to be a servant-leader in service to her community and the most marginalized voices. I was so honored to watch and support Loren with stepping into the power of her own voice and it is with the conviction of the barriers her community face, she speaks with sheer determination and confidence. I am so grateful to have worked alongside of such a fierce voice and leader and can’t wait to see the amazing work Loren will do next."

Tierra Stewart, Founder of Lead the Way and former colleague at IGNITE
